Sparkle

One of Santa's little helpers, Sparkle has joined our classroom for the month of December, flying to and from the North Pole of course. She has made our mornings interesting for sure. We have spent many minutes trying to locate her around our room and it seems she always knows the perfect place to rest for the day. On this particular day, she must have known we were working hard on our sight words. I think she was checking on just how well we know them.
Yesterday our friends were having an awful time remembering manner words and we were just being down right grumpy with one another. Today, interestingly enough, Sparkle as positioned herself perfectly right above the Good Manners board. Hmmmm, I think there is a method to her madness. :)

Kindergarten Conference

I am so embarrassed that it is been so long since my last post. I feel like these weeks are flying by so fast it's like a whirlwind.
I was fortunate enough to get to go to The Michigan Conference for Kindergarten Teachers on Monday and Tuesday of this week. I can't even begin to tell you about all of the new and exciting things I learned about. I met some wonderful presenters, many other teachers from around the state and country too. The conference gave me a new energy and to be honest with you, this is the perfect time of year for some new energy. I am hoping that the students will be sharing with you some of the things we have already started to implement.
